ALFA is a novel formulation of 99% omega-3 EPA in a free fatty acid form.  

The idea for ALFA comes from research on how diet is an important factor in maintaining a healthy colon.

This inspired S.L.A. Pharma AG, a Swiss pharmaceutical company, to create a unique, 99% pure, omega-3 fish oil capsule. Developed in a free fatty acid form, ALFA is five times more readily absorbed in the body than most other fish oils. Furthermore, the delayed-release capsule delivers the EPA directly to the small bowel for maximum effect.

ALFA is currently undergoing trials.
